Background

Remote Medicine

“Hello, my name is Kai Müller, and I am a Paramedic with a passion for working in challenging environments. My experience includes air and ground ambulance work in Germany, followed by medical repatriation work across Europe.

During my time as a Staff Sergeant in a Medevac unit in the German army, I completed one tour to Afghanistan and did three more as a PSD Medic, providing medical care in challenging environments. I also completed three tours to Iraq, where I gained valuable experience working in the field.

Polar medicine

While I love the work as Medic I could not see the “big picture” and took a break from working in war zones and moved to Norway. I became a Polar Guide and Expedition Medic and have done this since.

In my nine years of experience working in the polar regions, I have found my passion. The polar regions are, in my opinion, the most beautiful places on earth, and I would love to spend the rest of my life working with science and supporting scientific missions as a Medic.

never stop learning

To achieve this goal, I am now studying for three years to obtain a Diploma in Remote and Offshore Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. I am excited to learn the newest standards and medical skills and continue to grow in my expertise. If you’re interested in working together or want to learn more, please don’t hesitate to reach out.”
